This 200 acre area near Scribner on the Elkhorn River has 50 acres of water and offers good camping, picnicking, fishing and non powered boating. The area has 17 pads with 30-amp electrical hookups, primitive camping, drinking water and latrines.

Do not be discouraged by having to do a little personal maintenance. Dead Timber is a scenic parcel of paradise. A couple of ponds provide fishing with electric or non powered boating permitted. Gaze out from the stone shelter…or carry your lounge chair to a choice spot…and wildlife is likely to present itself at any time.
