Louisville South is one of the largest family orientated KOA's in Kentucky, an ideal gateway to the Bluegrass State's beautiful countryside and only minutes from downtown Louisville. Hop on our stretch golf cart for a two-mile ride along the river and observe the campground's Indian cave dwellings burrowed in limestone cliffs. Enjoy movies under the stars on our outdoor screen or tie dye a shirt to keep as a momento of your camping trip. Join in the games that take place every weekend from June until September - your children will not be bored at our campground.
Youngsters can play a round of mini golf or entertain themselves in our game room. Adults can enjoy our extra-large, enclosed hot tub. Host a family reunion or company picnic - group facilities in our Derby Room can host up to 75 people.
With 100 foot pull-through and 50-amp sites available, our campground is truly big rig friendly. No RV? No problem! Enjoy a comfortable stay in one of our cozy one or two bedroom air-conditioned camping cabins. For those who like the comforts of home, try our fully furnished deluxe cabin with full kitchen and bathroom. For more rustic accommodations, spend the night on a grassy tent site, all sites have fire pits and picnic benches. We're "pet friendly" and have a leash free dog park.
There's plenty to do in the Louisville, KY area. Attractions include the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby Museum and Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. You can experience everything from the Bourbon Trail (Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey) to the Mammoth Cave National Park, plus museums and cultural fairs. The list is endless.
