About: Riley Creek Recreation Area, situated on the banks of the Pend Oreille (pond o’ray) River, is the largest recreation area for the Albeni Falls Project. There are 67 campsites to choose from. Each site has water and electric. Park gates lock at 10 pm and do not reopen until 7 am. This popular recreation area includes a dump station, hot showers, a boat ramp, boat basin, fishing piers, a large playground, a bicycle/hiking trail, two shelters, horseshoe pits, beach volleyball court, basketball court, picnic pads, a place to walk your dog and a swim beach.The picnic shelters may be reserved by calling Albeni Falls Dam at (208) 437-3133. Area attractions include the Albeni Falls Dam Visitor Center with exhibits on history and natural history. In addition, there are tours of the Albeni Falls Dam which are given daily Memorial Day to Labor Day from the Visitor Center located 2 miles east of Newport, WA. All sites at Riley Creek are 50, 30, and 20 amp.
