Lake Lanier—which lies in the foothills of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains—is enjoyed by over 7.5 million people a year as a great travel destination noted for its scenic shores and a wide variety of recreational activities which are featured along the lake’s 690 miles of shoreline and over 100 small islands.
Amenities: Facilities include a dump station ($15), laundry facilities, restrooms, and hot showers, in addition to group campsites, picnic shelters, tent camping areas, and a playground.
Directions: Take 400 North to exit 17, turn right on Hwy. 306, turn right on Hwy. 369, turn right on Shady Grove Rd., turn left on Shadburn Ferry Rd., which ends at the campground.
