Donner Memorial State Park

Nice campground, beautiful setting.

Donner Memorial SP has three loops. The sites in the third loop or much more spread out and private. Unfortunately there are no lake views from the campground. The campground itself is nice enough and the lake and surrounding mountains are beautiful. My reason for rating the campground only as ok is it is near a populated area, a major interstate freeway, and railroad tracks, so it is noisy and you don't get the feeling you are getting away from it all.
