About: Located adjacent to Loon Lake, the campground is situated in a mixed coniferous forest with granite formations dotting the landscape. The Lake is at an elevation of 6500 feet with cold, crystal clear waters that make fishing and boating a great attraction. Other popular activities include horseback riding and four-wheeling.

Directions: Take Highway 50 east of Placerville for 21 miles to Icehouse Road turnoff. Turn left, go 28 miles to fork. Take right fork 5 miles to campground.
