About: Located six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, California. Near the campground, popular activities include hiking and fishing. The 4 mile long Whitney Portal National Recreation trail departs from the top end of the campground area. Campground is seven miles from Mt. Whitney Trailhead. Firewood is for sale at the campground. Restrooms are provided. Sites up to 40 feet long.
