About: Hospital Flat is located 6 and 1/2 miles north of the town of Kernville. This mountain setting campground has 39 paved sites that offer some camping and fishing sites from the river banks of the Kern River.

Directions: Off of Highway 99 in Bakersfield, take Highway 178 East, to Lake Isabella From Lake Isabella take Highway 155 around the west side of the lake to the town of Kernville. From Kernville go north on Sierra Way (Mountain 99) 6.5 miles to the campground.
